These days we have traveled to Lugo to meet our colleagues from LIFE Lugo + Biodynamic and LIFE EcoTimberCell. Together with them, we discusses the evolution of each of the projects and share the experiences lived at this time.
The LIFE Lugo + Biodynamic project is led by the Lugo City Council. Its intention is to transform the city towards a model of sustainable urban development through an innovative urban planning strategy for action against Climate Change, in which forest ecosystems, including wetlands, have a fundamental role.
LIFE EcoTimberCell is a Climate Change mitigation project led by the Structural Wood Engineering Platform of the University of Santiago de Compostela, which aims to reduce greenhouse gas emissions through an innovative constructive solution. For this, they are creating certified local wood construction elements, low in Carbon, which also involve long-term carbon fixation.
We loved meeting these two projects, with which we share so many objectives. We are convinced that we will keep in touch and we will be able to reach closer collaborations. Thank you very much for the attention received!
“Recycled and natural materials and products to develop Nearly Zero Energy Buildings with low carbon footprint”.
The LIFE ReNatural NZEB Project aims to demonstrate and promote new solutions to achieve Nearly Zero Energy Buildings with low carbon footprint, using natural and recycled materials, in Spain and Portugal.
