The Centro de Investigaciones Científicas y Tecnológicas de Extremadura (CICYTEX) is a public law entity with financial, organisational and functional autonomy of the Regional Government of Extremadura, attached to the Department of Economy, Science and Digital Agenda. CICYTEX's mission is to improve the efficiency of research and technological development tasks in order to contribute to the advancement of knowledge and economic, social and cultural growth in Extremadura. It also contributes to the training of personnel and advice to public and private entities in the field of R&D&I, applying, transferring and disseminating the results to society.

DIRECCIÓN GENERAL DE ARQUITECTURA Y CALIDAD DE LA EDIFICACIÓN

The Dirección General de Arquitectura y Calidad de la Edificación is part of the Consejería de Movilidad, Transporte y Vivienda of the Junta de Extremadura. The competences of this institution are related to the quality of construction, efficiency, technical control of construction and the promotion of new construction technologies and those related to urban regeneration, rehabilitation and renovation and its regulatory development.

INSTITUTO TECNOLÓGICO DE ROCAS ORNAMENTALES Y MATERIALES DE CONSTRUCCIÓN

INTROMAC is a Research Institute of the Extremadura Regional Government (Spain). The centre is aimed to improve competitiveness of companies within the construction sector, through R&D and innovation activities. It focuses in fundamental areas such as Energy Efficiency, Sustainability, New Materials, Structures, Historical Heritage and Industrial Processes optimization, relying upon specialized researchers and leading testing facilities.

ITECONS

Itecons is a non-profit organization with extensive experience in providing Research, Consulting, and Testing services in a range of areas such as Construction, Energy, Environment and Sustainability.

Itecons is staffed by a multidisciplinary technical team and its laboratory facilities are modern. It has a Quality Management System in place that is certified by the Portuguese Certification Association - APCER (NP EN ISO 9001) and performs over 250 tests accredited by the Portuguese Accreditation Institute – IPAC (NP EN ISO/IEC 17025). ITeCons is also a Notified Body (System 3) and a Technical Assessment Body for the CE marking of a wide range of construction products.

UNIVERSIDAD DE CÓRDOBA (UCO)

The Universidad de Córdoba (UCO) is a non-profit High Education and Research institution established in 1972. UCO has a commitment with society, promoting innovation, research and technological development as an instrument for the social and economic progress. In this way, transfer of knowledge is too, one of the missions of this university.

The research efforts are compound of 193 research units and 2.500 employees, covering different disciplines range from the Humanities, Legal and Social Sciences to the Health Sciences and Science and Technology.

URVIPEXSA

URVIPEXSA is a public company focused on the development and construction of social houses and public buildings with 100% of capital from Extremadura Government.

URVIPEXSA has built more than 8.000 social houses in 131 towns trying to solve housing demand of family with low incomes in Extremadura. It has a long experience in construction, rehabilitation and urbanization, as well as resources management and clients.

NATIONAL LABORATORY OF ENERGY AND GEOLOGY 

The National Energy and Geology Laboratory (LNEG) is a research, demonstration and technological development organization, whose mission is to promote and carry out research, demonstration and knowledge transfer actions, technical and technological assistance and support aimed at companies, in the fields of Energy and Geology. In the scope of the attributions derived from the strategy and the economic and social development policy of Portuguese government, LNEG is assumed as an interface for the integration of the technology and the results of R&D with the business fabric.
