The students - workers from extremeño companies linked to the construction sector, through the Innovation and Talent Plus Program in which INTROMAC participates as a training center, visit the works of the three social housing that the Junta de Extremadura is building in Ribera del Fresno through the European project LIFE RenaturalNZEB and which constitutes a new prototype of homes with low environmental impact.

In this entrepreneurship day we present the LIFE ReNatural NZEB project, focusing on the natural and recycled materials that have been tested and used.

The fourteenth edition of the International Congress on Energy Efficiency and Sustainability in Architecture and Urbanism (EESAP 14) will address the theme of “Care for HABITAT/HABITAT for care”, understanding HABITAT at all its scales; from the territorial, the urban and even the building. The LIFE ReNatural NZEB project was present at the LNEG stand at the largest international fair in the construction sector in Portugal, TeKtónica, marketplace for the construction sector, which took place from the 4th to the 7th of May 2023, with the presentation of projects in the area of Energy in the Built Environment. The LIFE ReNatural NZEB project aims to test and promote new materials and construction solutions to achieve Nearly Zero Energy Buildings with a low carbon footprint, using natural and recycled materials.

The Junta de Extremadura is building three prototype homes in Ribera del Fresno (Badajoz) in which natural and sustainable materials are being used. The action, executed by the public company Urvipexsa, has a budget of 526,804 euros and is part of the LIFE Renatural NZEB project that aims to develop buildings with almost zero energy consumption with a low carbon footprint and low cost, using natural and recycled materials.

Within the technical conference “Wood and its opportunity for sustainable construction”, promoted by the Andalusian Forestry Association (AFA-Profor) and the LIFE Wood for Future project, the opportunity of wood and the forestry sector is debated in the construction.
