The Life ReNaturalNZEB project managed by the Junta de Extremadura seeks to "introduce renewable" and natural materials in buildings to seek sustainability in the construction process and building as well as their energy efficiency. This has been indicated by the general director of Architecture and Building Quality, Alfonso Gómez Goñi, who has explained that materials such as cork or rice husks are used.

The LIFE ReNatural NZEB Project aims to demonstrate and promote new solutions to achieve Nearly Zero Energy Buildings with low carbon footprint, using natural and recycled materials, in Spain and Portugal.
